In this new series dedicated to women and their bodies, Faceless Body explores feminine presence through the erasure of identity. The face disappears, giving way to a silhouette that is both sensual and abstract.
The reclining body asserts itself through its materiality and volume. The forms are pronounced, almost sculpted by broad, instinctive gestures. Muted tones — greys, whites, and earthy hues — envelop the figure in an atmosphere that is both intimate and raw.
By removing the facial features, the work shifts the focus away from individual identity and redirects attention to corporeality: posture, weight, tension, vulnerability. The woman is no longer a portrait; she becomes presence.
This painting questions the way we look at the female body: is it an object, a subject, a territory of emotions, a space of memory? Between strength and fragility, it affirms an existence free from codes and imposed definitions.
